    possible 2nd-3rd round pick

i noticed someone pick in there raider draft, johnathan lutz, i cant find a lutz anywhere so i figured you ment arkansas johnathan "luigs"

    Jonathan Luigs Scouting Report
    Projected Draft Position: Rnd 2
    Position: OL
    School & Year/Status: Arkansas - Senior
    Height & Weight: 6'4 - 314 lbs.
Ranked #64 on our Top 100 Prospects Board

2009 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

    person
    Jonathan Luigs, OL, Arkansas
Luigs was one of the unsung heroes for Arkansas last season as Darren McFadden and Felix Jones rushed into stardom, but his play up front did not go completely unnoticed. In fact, Luigs won the Rimington Trophy as the nation's best center and he was a consensus All-American. Regardless of how talented the running backs are, the accolades are well-deserved when you pave the way for an offensive attack that led the SEC in rushing and set a school record for yards on the ground. Luigs is big, but not massive; it is his feet that really make him the force that he is. He can run under 4.9 in the 40-yard-dash and his quickness helps him be especially effective against the pass. Luigs is a solid run-blocker, but he will want to improve in that area if he hopes to sneak into the first round in next April's NFL Draft. After all, Arkansas' dismal season at the moment is not going to help the stock of Luigs or any other Razorback. The experience factor, however, will help combat those drawbacks. Luigs is a senior and he has seen playing time since taking over at right guard during his freshman campaign. He moved to center as a sophomore and heading into his senior season, Luigs had started 37 games for Arkansas

btw thats an old report, made before his senior year started, i think he won that nations best center award twice. not positive, he's a great center-guard, and could step up if cooper doesent resign, and could bring good morale for McFadden running behind a fellow Rzrback....

how many teams missed out on Peyton Hillis? damn he looked good while he played.

Sounds like a decent enough pick if we have the ZBS in place come next season. Sounds like he may even last until the 3rd.

LMFAO nice one, if we could get him in the 3rd round he'd be well worth the pick, and hopefully we'll have more than one third round pick.

    Luigs had down year.
He's another OL that people rate partially on how their HB's do.
Arkansas lost their FB and both HBs.
This year they managed a lot less yards on the ground.
I'm not sold either way on Luigs.
It would take a much better scout than I am to make a real decision on how good he is.

The center from Penn State won this year. I would rather have Alex Mack, but Luigs wouldn't be bad in the 3rd/4th.

    Rimington Trophy

He looks to be a solid palyer, but not a stand out. He is a tenacious hard working player that gets the most of his limited ability with heart and heard work. Not a bad pick to have as a back-up, but not enough to beat out Grove.

I would love Luigs in the 3rd round, in fact I would acquire a pick to get him.

I would see him initially being the #1 backup interior lineman behind the starters of Gallery - Grove - McQuistan, the fact he is a Center negates some of the issues about Grove not staying healthy and he can backup the RG position as well. The fact that he is big, but not huge and has quick feet makes him sound like a ZBS candidate.

well one reason that we didn't have that many yards on the ground is because we were forced to pass the ball a lot because our defense let the other team get ahead early. he still had a 1,000 yard RB in michael smith, that makes 5 times he has had a RB rush for 1,000 yards in a season.
