I like Crabtree more but he is a sure top 10 pick. But Maclin might even drop to the second round so if we could get an LT (Oher, Smith, Monroe) in the first round and Maclin in the second round that would be a good draft.

The main strength I see with Crabtree is his ability to break tackles, but that's much harder to do at the pro level. |

Darrius Heyward-Bey please. I will take him over the others. I think he has the opportunity and skills to be the best of the bunch.
Also, i find it very hard to believe that Maclin will drop to the second. He is a similar player to DeSean Jackson in that they are both great receivers and returners, the difference being that Maclin has NFL size. Based on the season Jackson is having, i don't see any way Maclin falls out of round 1, barring of course, any unforeseen setbacks. |

i lean a little more toward Maclin just because he has the extra gear to separate and doesn't seem to get caught from behind the way Crabtree does. |

or Maclin=DeSean Jackson (but bigger)?
So far I've seen a couple Texas Tech games. In that offense they spread the field with 4WRS and throw short passes. It works great for Crabtree because he can get open easier with the defense trying to cover so many WRs, then when he gets the ball he can use his size to break tackles and get YAC. Is he going to be able to do that in the an NFL offense? I'm not sure. Can he get seperation downfield? Can he make catches in double-coverage? I've seen his projected 40 vary from 4.48 to 4.6. He reminds me of Ronald Curry. That's not a knock, I like Ronald Curry, but I wouldn't draft him in the 1st round. |

Maclin won't need to run well at the combine for his stock to shoot up.. everybody already knows he can fly. If he keeps producing at the rate he is, he will be top prospect well before the combine.. If anything he will need to run well at the combine to keep his stock where it's at rather than shoot it up.

I Like crabtree but youre right about Maclin his stride is incredible he never looks like hes running hard but he still leaves people...I just hope Nnamdi stays soo we dont have to draft a CB in the first round..but after 5 coach's in 6 seasons plus being franchised Idk ( not to mention the record)

Were not drafting either one of these guys. It will be in the 4th rnd by the time we get to a wr. There are so many spots that we have to fill that Al will go after before drafts a wr.
This year we needed a wr as well and could have tried to move up and didnt. This is one of the worst years in the draft for us. I dont see Al going with anything other then a Ol guy or a cb. We are losing Aso at the end of the year and burgess. Thoes are huge postions for us and we need fresh blood in there. Al has not drafted a wr in the frist or second rnd since T.brown. Thats along time and explains why we have such bad wr's and why our rookies wr's never pan out. Al will go with a Ol guy or a cb just wacth I put money on it. Plus no one is worth a **** in this draft. We had our chance this year and choose tow bust wr's again. |

What a lot of people don't know is that Crabtree was a QB in High School and switched to WR when he went to TT. He has only been playing the WR position for 2 years, 2 years people and look at what he is doing. had 1,962 yards is his first year playing WR are you ****ting me! and is well on pace to have another great season like that. Just imagine 2-3 years from now when he gets everything down damn,
But Heyward-Bey is more of a Al Davis type WR big, blazing fast. |
