Michael Crabtree

The man is amazing, and will most likely go #1 overall if he enters the draft next year. I'd definetely be willing to trade up for him.

Crabtree is a monster but I hope we don't pick that high.

I was a Mcfadden guy through the draft but AT THE MOMENT(they might improve quite a bit this season who knows...) we really need to concentrate on our D-line next year.

Plus there are so many questions that will be solved this year.

I'm VERY high on Huff but if he has another average season it might be time to look for a replacement and that safety from USC would be REALLY tempting. 6-2 230 and runs a 4.3??!!

Just how much does Javon Walker have??

Will the O-line be improved or will we need to upgrade. Next year has some intriguing prospects

etc etc

Michael Crabtree looks like he will be really good but we do need to help the trenches at the moment. If he is there though then that would be a tough choice. Hell I would probably take him lol who knows this early....

He is a really physical WR from that video. Would be a great fit for us.

I just can't stand 2 more years of Sands anchoring our D-line at NT thats all. Unless he steps up....

We would no doubt have to trade up, the question is - is anybody dumb enough to trade down if hes on the board? Hes the best player in college football, and would probably be the best weapon we can give Russell, recieving wise.

Crabtree will be a star for sure.

We would have to trade our whole draft to get him tho, and would obviously command a MONSTER contract.

Wouldn't be against it tho, kid is a MONSTER!

By chance, anyone know that song in the video?

Yeah that combo would be incredible. We could have the next great QB-WR Duo.

It depends on what team is there. If a team loaded with Wr's was there the interest in Crabtree would be less...

I could imagine it now Russell to Crabtree TD!!!!!! Our offense would be LOADED!!!

Russell
Miller
Mcfadden
Crabtree
Curry
Walker

Russell would have NO excuses whatsoever to bust and they would all be 21-23 yrs old so this could last over a decade!!!!

I do worry about our LT spot though. But the team is said to be high on Henderson. I hope he plays well.

Damn right, build around Russell. Theres pretty much no way in hell he can bust with all those weapons, can you say best offense in the NFL? Lol, its a dream for now though.. if we get the worst record (which we wont) and he declares then I wouldnt feel as bad about the season.

You think a reciever will go number one?
I've never seen this guy play. He reminds me a lil bit of Steve Smith.
I dont think he will go number one though. I remember last year thinking McFadden
would go number one but I think teams are starting to realize that WR's/RB's shouldnt be taken
first if you are trying to rebuild.

If we ignore the offensive and defensive lines again (especially the LT position) and draft a WR I'm gonna shoot myself in the head.

You will never see a team trade up to number one to get a WR, maybe one or two slots but that is it. The only way that would happen is if they instituted a rookie cap and it got a lot cheaper to sign the number one overall pick. Plus, I don't know if you heard, but we have Chaz Schilens and Arman Shields, so don't trip.

The rule is three years after your high schools graduating class making the average eligible roughly 21 and a junior.

He was a freshman in 06 and redshirted freshman 07, just because sophomore does not affect his eligibility.

You cant compare Schilens and Shields to Crabtree. Our D is very solid, its not that bad so continuing to build around Russell would not be a bad idea. Dont you want him to be the best he can be? Turn him into a HOFer? Defense is something i'd rather do in free agency, veteran guys that already know what to do out there. Plus the Raiders have sucked when it comes to drafting defense the last couple years.

Like Greg Spires, hes very solid when healthy.

Yes, which is why we need to draft a LT next year.
