What would you have done?
If the decision was yours on draft day, what would you have done? I would have traded down with New Orleans and grabbed Clady ahead of Denver. Of course, had the Saints traded with us, they would have taken Dorsey and then maybe Clady would have gone to K.C. but if Clady would have been gone I just would have taken Chris Williams. I think K.C. would have just taken Ellis though, and Clady would have been ours.
New England got the 78th pick just for moving down a few spots so I'm sure we could have got more, but even if all we got was the 78th we could have picked up Early Doucet, Harry Douglas, Bruce Davis, Marcus Harrison, or even the guy the Pats took, Shawn Crable.

This is how my whole draft would have looked (if we all we got was the 3rd round pick for trading down)
1. LT Clady
3. WR Doucet
4. DT Dre Moore
4. C Steve Justice
6. WR Paul Hubbard
7. S Caleb Campbell

Al seemed pretty set on McFadden so it really don't matter what we would have done. Al factor in effect again.

I chose McFadden, I'm not going to question what we did.....I just don't think you can pass up on a guy like him.

I think my past rants clearly express my sentiments. Trading down would've been my first choice. Ellis ahead of dorsey just because of the potential injury issues with him. OT and DT really needed to be a priority and they were ignored based on compulsion. There is history to substantiate it. It is fact. No matter how you try to justify it, it is just that. And then you factor in the risks and running style skills of said player," latteral agility, etc.," and at number 4 it is just a joke to me.

How can you let something go that will have a direct effect negatively I might add, for yet another season?

I would have traded down with NO, gotten a 2nd and taken
1. Ryan Clady
2. Calais Cambell
The rest of the draft is fine with me, you don't fill needs in round 4-7 and I find the picks interesting.
