Latest McShay mock shows Chris Long falling to Oakland and them not selecting him.

Record: 4-12 | Needs: DE/DT, OT/G, SLB, WR, RB
Word out of Oakland is owner Al Davis will pass on Hall of Famer Howie Long's son, Chris, and go with the explosive McFadden.

I hope we do pass Long. I don't want any sentimental picks. Isn't that why we took Marinovich? You can take your "Jack tatum Nephew and your Howie long Son" And shove it. I want to win Games not make everyone happy. Think about it. We have a Defensive Coordinator who won't be with the team in 09 and Head Coach who's career is in the Balance. All while people are worried about a Dam legacy.

i want the best player that can help us win now. IMO thats McFadden Because the offense is terrible.

Oh, please. If the Raiders draft Chris Long - and i don't think they will - it'll have nothing to do with his old man. It'll be because the Raiders badly need a defensive end and Chris Long is considered by most to be the best defensive end in the draft.

2007 Raiders rush offense = 6th in NFL
2007 Raiders rush defense = 31st in NFL

Now, remind me which one you say needs more help?

You should have just said, "I've never seen Chris Long play and I know absolutely nothing about him".

That would've carried the same message with much less work.

Yeah, I seen a couple guys on the NFL Network say that the Raiders will pass on Chris Long even if he's there at 4.

We'll see what happens.

That right there is really all that needs to be said. I don't think that I would tell any McFadden supporter to take that idea and shove it... but quite honestly, I think the organization would be absolutely stupid to take McFadden over Long.

However, if Long is off the board - I will support McFadden if he is the pick and hope to see him and Michael Bush (if he shows something) splitting carries.
