No thanks, Clady is a wuss. 24 reps? That is not even average.

Al has been trying to get a great left tackle for years now(remember the Rams picking Pace right in front of us?). And most of the time draft picks go based on potential. Clady may well have the most upside.
Sure looks the part. Handled everyone he's lined up against. Think I've seen about every college game he's played in. That being said I don't know if he will be an allpro LT. Crap shoot at best.

BTW Yesterday was pro day at BSU. Big to-do out here! Don't have the whole scoop just what the local news and tv stations reported.Clady ran a 5.18 forty, 31" vertical and a broad jump of 9 feet. Did not bench press (maybe the peck ?). Thirty teams where represented. The Panthers John Fox was there. Bears Lovie Smith is coming next week for a private work out. Clady's agent stated that he has had multiple conversations with Parcells.
Some of you guys might not catch many WAC games but CB Orlando Scandric opened some eyes at the combine, and safety Marty Tadman may well make someones roster.

I've been pulling for Clady for some time now, the only problem is that we need DL help, OL help and a WR, but really only have 2 relevant draft picks so one position will be left in the cold. I think we need to take Clady at 1 and any receiver that falls out of the first at two, most likely Mario or Early. fourth round pick goes to best DL available.

No....there are PLENTY of other options in the second round, such as Sam Baker, who come at a better price, and a better value. Now I know we should also look at WR/DT in the second round, but honestly we can't fill all of our needs this offseason and that should be obvious. Not unless we can trade for another 2nd/3rd rounder which would be a HUGE boost to filling those needs.

The only problem with drafting a DL in the first is that it leaves us to pick between WR and OT in the 2nd. Because we missed out on any of the substantial FA WRs I think we must use our second on a WR. There is great depth at the position this year, but it won't last past the 2nd/3rd.
