Steve Justice , Center | Senior | Wake Forest

Quote:
Steve Justice, Center | Senior | Wake Forest
Height: 6-4 | Weight: 284 | 40-Time: 5.20

Strengths:
Athletic and quick...Extremely smart with terrific awareness..Is mobile and can get out in space...Technically sound...Uses his hands well...Light on his feet and slides well...Offers some versatility...Has a lot of experience...Great motor...Hard worker.

Weaknesses:
Doesn't have the size / bulk that you look for...Is not overly strong or physical...Is not real stout at the point of attack...He will have some trouble taking on massive defenders heads up...Does not get a great push..Not a great fit for every scheme.

Notes:
Brother, Kevin, played football at the Air Force Academy from 1996-2000...Another brother, Doug, is a linebacker at North Carolina...Can also project to guard at the next level...He doesn't have all of the physical tools you look for but compensates by doing the little things...Best fit in the pros will be with a team that zone blocks.

Would love to see the Raiders pick this guy up in the 4th, if possible.

Dude I swear I just finished looking at that not even 15 seconds ago and was gonna post it lol. Matter of fact I saw your post on the forum.

He would be a great pick in rd4.

Barry Richardson and Justice are 2 later rd prospects I would like for us to get.

Me too, the line played a lot better this year, but looked undisiplined and unaware in pass protection. They really got exposed by Diego and Jacksonville.

Center is a big need for us and having a quick, smart, center is huge in the ZBS. Broncos have had the same guy at center for like 20 years.

I like the Mike Pollack, Arizona St. better though. He's a little bit bigger and faster.

Justice is slated to go in the 2nd. The top rated center in the draft on many boards. I like Pollak as well, is really suited to the ZBS we employ. Newberry played well this season but we'll be lucky to get one more season out of him. Starting Grove will set the OL back 3 years. We definitely need to groom a new center. Just wish we hadn't pissed away that 3rd rounder.

Scott Wright has him as a "mid rounder" but all that changes. I have seen Mack as the top rated as well. If he is that good, we probably won't have a shot unless we pick up another 2nd or a 3rd some how.
