We should get one of the 3

We need a OL, DT and RB. I say we end up with the 5th pick.

We need to be looking at Dorsey, Jake Long and Darren McFadden.

We should be able to get atleast one of those guys, and its a hole filled immediately.

I would be very upset if we draft Chris Long!! We have no use for him.

Why would you think Chris Long would not be a valuable addition to our team?

He's 6'4" 280lbs has 14 sacks on the year with 75 tackles. Whats not to like? Do you agree with the notion we need a compliment for Burgess? I understand an individuals preference for a DT as I too agree we need a NT badly but if Chris Long is available when we pick would you pass? Why?

With the way Clemons has played this year, I don't know. Then again, Burgess might not be back. If we play our way out of the top 5 we should just draft a LT IMO. Dorsey, McFadden and both Longs will probably be gone.

Dum!
Chris Long would allow Kelly to move back inside.
Last year he scored 4th most fantasy points from DT in the NFL.

Clemons is a 3rd down pass rusher.
Long could move inside on passing downs like Daddy did.

I think the raiders may (hopefully) try to address the d-line in FA. While I think there is a chance we could get Jared Allen, I dont think we would be able to get him and haynesworth both. I think we are going to see the raiders open up the 2008 season with a 3 headed monster attack. With Dmac/bush/fargas. I think dmac and bush will carry most of the load with fargas coming in as a change of pace back.

Allen and Haynesworth will both command $30mil a piece in guaranteed money, so their is no way that we get both players, and i don't see us spending that at all when we have to extend Asomugha, Fargas, Burgess and maybe even Culpepper.

there are no three pronged running attacks in the NFL because there simply aren't enough carries to go around. guys like LT get 25 to 30 carries a game when they are primary backs. unless he's hurt, guys like Turner get 5 to 10 carries a game. we won't resign Fargas to carry the ball maybe 3 to 5 times a game.

we have more pressing needs besides RB...namely the interior DL and both T spots on the OL.

Dorsey would be an upgrade but still isnt a run stuffer. Unless we plan on bringing in monte kiffin and his tampa 2 i dont think dorsey will have the impact a lot of people think he will.

i watched the OSU/Michigan game and Jake Long looked a little stiff and slow to be a LT at the next level. Vernon Gholston had a great game against him and made him look pretty average. i see Long projecting more as a RT ala his fellow alumni Jon Jansen of the Redskins and Jon Runyan of the Eagles...and i'd take that in a heartbeat over what we have now.

hopefully we have a low top ten pick or trade out of our pick and draft Sam Baker. he has the quick feet and athleticism to be a very good LT.

he'd look good in silver and black lined up next to a FA OG like Justin Smiley. this could be our OL next year if we are smart this offseason (it would be nice):

LT: Sam Baker (1st rnd)
LG: Justin Smiley (FA)
C: Grove/Newberry/late rnd
RG: Carlisle/Shannon Tevaga (4th rnd)
RT: Mario Henderson

Chris long, Darren McFadden, or trade down
I wouldnt have a problem with Jake Long but lots of members here have driven me away from him. Ive heard too much about his struggles in pass blocking and how he reminds people of gallery.
