Louis Murphy Traded to Carolina

According to Jason Cole of Yahoo.com, the Oakland Raiders traded wide-receiver Louis Murphy to the Carolina Panthers for an undisclosed draft pick . Murphy, a former fourth round pick, has accumulated 90 receptions for 1371 yards and 6 touchdowns since joining the team. With the emergence of rookie wideout Juron Criner, many mini-camp observers believed Muprhy's dats with the team were numbered.

This would mark the second trade between the two clubs. In March of this year, the Raiders sent project lineman Bruce Campbell to the Panthers for running back Mike Goodson.

I hope he can get us a third. He is good and we drafted him in the 4th. We are loaded at WR so it makes sense. The emergence of Criner made it easy..

I doubt a third.. 4tth or 5th would be sweet

Undisclosed conditional pick. Probably a fifth-rounder for Murphy

My bet is a 6th rounder conditionally jumping to a 5th based on productivity.

This may be one we regret in the not too distant future. With that said that WR corp is getting very crowded with young, potential talent. We need at least one of them SOBs to step up and shed the "potential" label.
