Why stoop so low as to disrespect someones Country?

It is pretty brutal that it has come to this, and there are only a few people that have done it. However, i have seen in several threads, not just one, but several, where an opinion of someone from Canada, and even in a thread that is still going on now where the person isn't even from Canada, some comments made such as "Stick to Hockey" and such. Some have been much more ignorant and childish.

First off, i am proud to be Canadian. I don't take it personally, but at the same time i don't come on this forum to read this crap. Once again it is only a few people on here and you guys know who you are. Some may just be joking around and others may actually think we live in Igloos and play hockey all day. Whatever the case is, i have seen people post from Canada, UK, Europe, Mexico, and the States, and that is what is so great about Raider Nation is that we have fans all over the world.

In my opinon if you need to attack each other just leave out the ignorant comments. It makes you no better than a racist.



Just want to add once again to clear up any confusion that this is only a few guys, and 99% of the people on here are great people and i met a lot of them at the Tailgate last year. Stand up people, and this is why i come on here everday.

I am also from Canada, and just like you. These comments dont really offend me as much as they are just plain childish. They should just stop or atleast give a real reason for saying them.

Nicely said, I read through that thread your referring to also and found it ignorant. Im a proud canadien also, but have never been insulted on this forum because of it. Its very, very few people who do this but its still wrong. I dont think they really mean to be racist, it just comes out if theyre frustrated.

Well like i said, i dont take it personally. It doesnt make me upset, but it is moreso for the select few who do actually make the comments, by no means am i saying your not great guys, or whatever the case. Sometimes it is just joking around and the Hockey comments are kind of funny. I will take back what i said about it being the same as being racist.
