Graphics forum/board? - Oakland Raiders Forum | Message Board

BK,

I've noticed that since the near quantum leap in members since the Randy Moss trade, we've picked up quite a few graphic designers, all of various talent levels. I was wondering was if a board/forum like that of the Video Game one could be made for us designers. It could be made private and/or public where folks can inquire on the HOW TO's of basic photo editing for the general members and also a place for the leading designers to share ideas for the site or how to better themselves. Photo designing screencaps and banners for articles for the main/news page. Designing various images for possible merchandising to generate fundds for the site.

I'm not sure about the possible load (traffic) this will generate, if any or if it requires a lot of work on your end. But, if it is at all possible, I think it will be widely used and greatly appreciated.

That´s a great idea Dee, if a forum about graphics or design is made, that would be great and would be helpful for the site. As you said, we can design anything that can be helpful to generate funds for the site. Well BK, if you read this, I am in, and you know, that everything that we made for this site will be for free (well, at least i won't do it for money, but helping the site grow). PROPS to you Dee!!!!!!

Id be interested in this. Im always playing with photoshop and am still just OK with it. Would love to learn any tips I can get. Also, I am an architecture student and part of the assignments is always presenting your designs and this could help improve my presentation skills.

This is a great idea. Not only it will create the best looking board with high-end sigs, we can also get ideas from the gurus of graphics. Tutorials and stuff.

'Graphics' is a very appropriate name.

Sub-forums can be:
Graphics Staff - (For admins and 1 or 2 lead graphics moderators only)

Tutorials - (For submitting original tutorials or links to someone else's tutorials)

Sig Request - (Make it mandatory for members to have already accumulated 500 posts before asking for custom sigs. This will keep the number of requests managable and thus keeping the artists from pulling out their hair from a deluge of those requests.)

Sig/Wallpaper Show Off - (A place for anyone with graphics software to display their work and get constructive commments and/or critizisms. No flamming allowed!)

Wallpapers - (A place for *APPROVED* wallpaper designs to be posted for general use for all members of the site. No images taken from Raiders.com!!! And if images ARE used from, let's say...Getty Images, CBS Sportsline, AP, full credit must be given and placed SOMEWHERE on the wallpaper! Usually at the bottom of the image.)
