site running slow?

I may have spoken too soon. Just hitting the link to view your response my (Firefox on Windows XP) browser hung for some time.

Seems like once the page is cached up it responds quite quickly. I'll try to reproduce but I believe I see everything down to the "Please check out our sponsors..." line before the hang, then after a pause I get the rest of the page.

Hmmm... again, I'll see if I can dig up more info. Sorry for the false positive.

Nope - now I can't reproduce the problem. It happened a couple times in a row when I posted this last note, then cleared. I wonder if it's something to do with caching on my browser or perhaps in our proxy.

I may step away from the browser for a while and try again to see if that reproduces it.

Sorry BK - maybe the fix does indeed work as you indicated... it's definitely 99% better. I was getting a pause quite frequently before applying it. Now it's just those couple of times that seem to have gone away.

If I can pull together some more substantial supporting evidence, I'll pass it on...

im on a different computer now and its not too bad but this morning on my home pc it was so slow i couldnt load anything...i guess its just something ill have to live with. Thanks for trying BK.

Me too man.

I have to constantly mess with stuff to get the page to load. Hit refresh over and over. Minimize and maximize the page over and over. Hold down the control button while it's loading, etc., etc.

Sometimes if I don't do that the page will completely stop loading. Sometimes it never even starts to load, it just changes to a blank white screen and stops.

When mine starts to slow down. I use SuperAntiSpyware Free edition. Sometimes just deleteing all your browsing history speeds things up too. You could have a worm or trojan slowing you down too. I'd recommend AVG to keep things clean and running good. Try PC Help.com, many free stuff available, and free tech support.

now all of a sudden i got 2 warnings from virusscan today
