I've noticed that the general section tends to have lots of threads that are basically just bitching and complaining. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, I complain sometimes too but I think we should have a special section for members to "vent" about their frustrations.

That would make for a lot of thread moving by the moderators because almost every thread someone is bitching about something. I'd do it, but I wouldn't look forward to it.

i was thinking the same thing. . . in another forums that i frequently go on, they have a WEEKLY Venting and WEEKLY bragging/celebration thread that remains a sticky for each football week, then it clears for the following week.

Keeps the forums clean. Would be a lot of work for mods though.

Actually it's not a bad idea. The SDMB has a section entirely just for ranting and bitching about life's problems.

Honestly, I think it might be better to break up "Raiders Discussion". Right now it's pretty much the only forum you need to check out. I think part of the problem is that Hot Off the Press only allows certain newsposters to post, and thus every reply turns into "thanks for the news!" instead of actual discussion about it. We could also have the bitching section.

I dunno, just an idea...
