Hanging Out In The Black Hole

Posted 10-25-2007 at 03:33 PM by yayarea_raider
Last Sunday against the Chiefs I felt at home. Once I take that step off of that BART train and head towards the bridge connecting to the stadium I feel so alive. My blood is pumping, I'm surrounded by fellow members of the Raider Nation and didn't see too many Chiefs fans there.
Heading into the game was awesome. I checked out all the tailgate action and tried to contact a few raiderfans.net friends but unfortunatley couldn't get in touch and did not see any there. When I got to my seat in the black hole, all I could say was: "WOW". My friend that came with me to the game muttered the same thing.
I've been to three Raider games now, the first two being in Sec. 300 on the third deck, which I think isn't too shabby at all. However, I was field level this time, in the Black Hole, and in my paradise. Sitting in sec. 106 was a dream come true, and although the raiders ddin't win I still had a great time. I lost my voice (like always), made some more friends, and got to see my team live. I still have a great devotion to this team as being a fan, and have hope. I think they are heading in the right direction at the start of the Lane Kiffin era and the future looks promising.
Going to Raider games is so exciting, I could never pass up the opportunity to have the chance to go. Luckily, I saw there was a contest for all Raider Fans here on this site to write: "Why are you an Oakland Raiders Fan?" and I wrote it with passion and excitement. I knew once I had finished it that the reader would sense my sense of joy being a Raiders fan. There were indeed other good blogs as well, but I came out on top, and I am truley grateful BK gave me and the rest of great members of raiderfans.net the chance to win tickets to sit in the black hole and watch the greatest team ever LIVE.

Hey Yay,
I think that you were trying to reach me about 12PM. Does your # start with 650? Anyways, sorry that this is late, as I have been busy running around and ****. Maybe next time when you go. Like I said before, we are always there by 8AM, and pretty much drunk by 10AM. Let me know if you go to any games this coming year...Glad you had a great time.
