Walter To Be Traded? Crockett To Be Released?

There are talks in league circles that Walter will be traded today and if not, will be released with the rest who didn't make it. Russell (when he does indeed sign) will need to have a roster space waiting for him which will be vacant by Walter by the season start. I expect a deal to get done because Walter has so much upside that can't be ignored and he could succeed if he bought into Bobby Petrino's system in Atlanta. That is certainly an option as to where he might go, along with the Jaguars, who will release or trade Byron Leftwich today as well. In fact, Shannahan will probably try and make a play for Walter via trade or free agency just so he could try and get something out of him (who knows).
As for Crockett, Griffith was named the starting fullback last night and I wouldn't be surprised to see him traded. He is an above average fullback who is great for short yard gains and will draw a lot of interest if he hits the FA pool. But maybe O'neal get's cut instead, and Crockett remains. The tea loves this guy and woud be deeply saddened and very angry if he was showed the door. Well Nation, hope for him to still be a Raider because he's a good player who could be used effectively when his number is called. Not to mention, he is a fan favorite.
