Why I'm a Raider Fan

Where as a the stereotype of a "Raider Fan" falls under the category as a thug, gansta, violent, or some other negative connotation, I am neither any of those. So Why am I a Raider fan?
Where people bash you for representing a nation of losing recently? So why am I a Raider fan?
When I'm only 19 and have seen very few good reasons to be a raider fan? So why am I a Raider fan?
I'm a raider fan because I love football. I love passion. I love the fans. I love the colors. I love the team.
But before all of this, I am mainly a Raider fan because my Dad is a Raiders fan. He immigrated from the Phillipines in the late 70's and lived in Oakland. From there he was always a Raider. When I was a child, the Niners were the "team" and so were the Cowboys. My mother is a Niners fan, sadly. I asked my dad, "Why are you a Raiders fan" (I had no preference then), and he said "There is no other fan, but a Raider fan."
From then I started to watch the Raiders. I began my pursuit in the love of football in the 4th grade. The stylish colors gave a new meaning to the words Silver and Black. It's so simple, yet it's so complicated. I love the passion because there are no bandwagon fans. When they sucked, I still stood by their side. Always used them in Madden. They were always my franchise team and never anyone else. People stay towards the end.
One of the best part of being a Raiders fan is when you listen to the game on the Raido and here "TOUCHDOWN RRRRRRRAAAAIDERS!!!!!!". There is no better feeling than this. For that 3 seconds of verbal emotion, it is the best feeling in the world up there with getting the drivers license, falling in love, and even having a child.
The greatest feeling ever about being a Raiders fan is that on every Monday or Tuesday, when the Raiders lose, I wear that jersey and wear it with pride. People ask me, "why you wearing that jersey?" I say, "Cause I'm a fan, where's your niners jersey?" Good Game.
I'll leave it off with one more story. I love the Raiders so much that I was giving a presentation in my English class. I started the presentation "Let's go raiders!". Which has nothing to do with the presentation. At the end of the presentation, someone asked me "Why did you say Let's go Raiders?" I simply replied, "Who wouldn't?"
