The Free Agency

To some,this is where you trick out your car. You look for parts to improve it, either by swapping for better gear, ie, faster, stronger, etc, or, plunking down money, for someone, who's done well elsewhere.
I read earlier, that Porter, one of our WRs dating back into the early Raiders' retirement home days.....man, there were days him, Brown, and Rice would make things great.
Other times....you wondered if his brain melted from the fun he had.
Brown is now retired, along with Rice.....and now, Porter, is going to Jacksonville.
Ah, but in a way....players come and go. Some, like Branch, we could hold onto forever. Others, we wish they'd stay, but or some odd reason, a coach makes the choice, to dump someone....like Brown....who ended his career in Tampa.
Sad.
Now, with situation, we do have some good things to look forward to. The draft, for one. Popping in a rookie is a risky endevour, but as well, we could look at the FA market too.
But don't mention Randy Moss. We are not desperate, or foolish.

Personally, I'd be looking over the Cards' shoulder, who seem to always draft WRs.....maybe sneak one out of them.
Or, Javon Walker.....remember what happened when we got Romo from the Broncos?
We killed them, repeatedly.
Perhaps, he'd love to show Shanahan he's still got it?

As it goes, we also saw McCown, who gave us the win over the Broncos, but also several heartbreaking losses, leaves, to the Dolphins....surprisingly, they didn't try for Culpepper....but then, i'm wondering if Culpepper is truly toasted, due to last year's fiasco running match.
