Why am I a Raider Fan?

For me to write why I am a Raider fan is next to impossible. I am a Raider fan because that is what I am. My dad took me to Raider and Niner games as a kid. He was more of a Raider fan, although he is a fan of both. Ultimately, I gravitated towards the Raiders despite the Niners dominance of the time because the Niners were not that interesting of a team. The Raider may not have been winning as much at the time, but they would hit harder and make it a game. Despite being winners, Niner fans at the time were a bunch of front running pussies who were later called out by one of their own players as being cardboard cutouts.

As an adult, I am a Raider fan because my blood runs Silver and Black. I am a Raider fan because that is what and who I am. I am a Raider fan because I believe in the commitment to excellence and pride and poise of which Al Davis always speaks. I am a Raider fan because I am a citizen of the Raider Nation, which is the biggest extended family that I could imagine.

Asking why I am a Raider fan is like asking why I am human. I am a Raider fan because that is what I am, and I could imagine it no other way.
