The Cycle

Another year, another beginning for the Oakland Raiders and of course for us their always loyalty fans.

It always happens this time of the year, every year since I remember; the drama, the expectations, the excitment... the uncertainity, yes, this year is the uncertainity of who is going to be selected with the 4th overall pick... is he going to be a defensive player? who knows... just Al Davis may know for sure, but until the moment arrive it will only be speculation... but is this speculation what makes us fans stay aware of the NFL Draft, we stay aware because we want to know who will be the selected with the 4th overall pick, we stay aware because we care about the Raiders, that is, just plain and simple, we care!

Of course there have been bad picks, players the Raiders tought would be stars, but at the end those supposed stars never pan out as expected and that caused a lot of displeasure among us fans throughout the years, but at the end we have stayed true and loyal to our team, because we support the team no matter what happens. Yes we expect the rookies to make an impact on the field, we expect the wins and the championships, but this is the NFL and anything can happen on any given sunday and that is why is so exciting to be a Raiders fan.

For me this is the beginning of a new season, it all starts and ends with the Draft.
That is the cycle of every franchise in the NFL, it´s a phenomenon that occurs every year and everybody is just waiting for that day to arrive, because for me, a franchise is built based on the draft.
That is the cycle of every season in the NFL, for me it begins to become exciting at the moment the NFL Draft starts and it always happens this time of the year, every year since I remember.
