Mr Davis does it again.

In April 2007, most realistic Raider fans were thinking 6-10 would be a good season. The time had come for the Raiders to truly rebuild and not reload. A great draft topped off with the Selection of Russell gave the nation hope for the 2008 season.
A week away from opening day, things have changed. Russell, the supossed future of the Raiders remains at home, looking for his pay day. Bush looks to stay on the PUP until mid season and may finish the season on IR. If all this seems like bad news, why does the nation seem to now think 8-8 or even 10-6 is possible.
Enter Kiffin and his off season moves. Gone are some position coaches that many thought would never leave. In comes a new offensive coaching staff that is young, intellegent, and full of energy. The team bought into the new systems early on and the energy from the coaching staff seems to have got into the hearts of the Raider players.
Mr Davis is allowing changes to make his team better. He brought in Culpepper for an experienced leader that needed a second chance. After the preseason this seems to look like a good move. Pepper has his mobility back and is the favorite to win the starting job. Mike Williams has looked good and bad but appears to have made the finial roster. Young, hungry players are replacing some of "Al's boys".
Is a 10-6 season or better possible? Yes. Is another 2-14 season possible? I don't think so. The realality is somewhere in between but once again Mr Davis has given the nation hope that worst to first in the AFC West is possible. Isn't that a big reason we are Raider fans?

We will be better for sure. I am drooling for the first game against the Donkey's. That will be a good indicator for what the rest of the season will be like.
