A life long commitment to insanity....

The definintion of insanity is, " Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results". How else can you describe my love affair with the Oakland Raiders over the past 5 years? Infact, there are thousands of us across this great country that wake up every day, turn on our computers and televisions to see what our beloved Raiders have for us, day in and day out.

Here at Raiderfans.net, we discuss and argue everything from Al Davis to the draft. We separate ourselves in groups. Some of us call ourselves "realists, while others are effectionately referred to as KoolAide drinkers. But there is one common denominator in all of us...We are here every day, day in and day out no matter, "The State of the Nation". Five years now (Count them), FIVE YEARS of pure hell for all of us, no matter the train of thought. Some of us are overly optimistic, some of us see the glass half full. Does it matter??? Appearantly not. Why??? Why do we continue following a team that can not seem to crawl out of this hole of dispair?? Simply answered...It is in our blood. Silver and Black runs through our veins and is just as important to our existance as food or water.

The saying, "Win Loose or Tie, Raiders 'til I Die", has real meaning right now for Raider fans. No Matter your affiliation or your train of thought on the state of the Raiders, I see each and every one of you every day, doing the same thing over and over again, all of us hoping and expecting different results.
