We Will!

Dear Friends,
let me get this straight. Positivity doesn't mean "jump around smiling even if there's no reason to". It's more like "get excited about the season and support the Oakland Raiders".
If we don't have a good season, we will move on and try again.
Let me go back a couple of months. My local basketball team. Half way through the season, on a good way to a relegation battle . We lost game after game after game. The fans got bitter and the crowd decreased from over 4000 to less than 500.
Then on a sturday evening, we played against our biggest rival. Probably around 2000 people in the arena, the atmosphere resembled a funeral. No cheers, nothing!
We lost the game with more than 20 points. With the crowd slowly leaving, the arena announcer grabbed the microphone and told us to stay for a second.
He then held the most impressive speech I've heard in my entire life.
The tenor was, our team needs us. It was a 10 minute speech about passion, dedication and love for the sport and the team. I spotted the team listening from the tunnel.
Everyone applauded after the speech. We left the arena with a completely different attitude. "Now more than ever!"
A week after we played Alba Berlin, one of the best teams in the country. The fans held small posters with the lettering "We still believe" in their hands. The atmosphere was thrilling.
To cut it short now, we won the game 86-76. Actually, we had an impressive record of 9-1 after the speech. We made the playoffs. THE PLAYOFFS!
We went from a lously team with bitter fans to a title contender.
We didn't win the championship, but it was ok. Because our beloved team was back. Back with a positive attitude from the fans, the players, the staff and the executives.
Believe it or not. Positivity does change things. The human will is stronger than anything else.
We, the Raider Nation, can move things. Let the world know that we are ready, that we are willing to support our team like no other fans.
We can be great again! We WILL be great again!
