JayCee's beer of the week! Today: Maximator
Posted 03-11-2008 at 07:33 PM by JayCee
Augustiner's Maximator is a rich German Doppelbock at 7.5%.
The taste is malty/ caramel and hops with a nice clean fruity and bitter finishing note.
Pours rather thick, almost like a liquor, dark red/ brown in color.
The good thing about Maximator is the price. Compared to some of the similar Belgian beers, this one is just as good and lot cheaper in the US.
Best served at 5 °C (41 °F)
Enjoy
