Plan for success, what is it?As much as Al Davis has done for this franchise, heck football period. the only way for this fix is for Al Davis to be completly out of the Raiders picture. Which will probably will only happen if the man passed. There is a Black cloud over the Raiders right now, and the only way to loose that cloud is if Al Davis vanishes like a fart in the wind. He's not totaly to blame for what has been happening these past years. But action does reflect leadership.

Moral is low, but not just within the organizationBoJerry, nice post. I'm going to agree with you. But, as morbid as this may sound...how much longer can Davis really hold onto the Raiders? The guy isn't looking so well nowadays and how much longer can his health hold up? Even though it's been a hard and disappointing road, I have a feeling that in the near future, things will definitely start looking up for the Raiders. As for the Cowboy fan above, sorry dude...they are OVERRATED.

The Al Davis Press ConferenceKiffin was a good person. Just young and stepped on Al's toes, just like Marcus Allen. You go to the media, you go look for a job.

The Al Davis Press ConferenceWholly Crap! What kind of guy is friends with your Dad, and friends with your wife's Father, knows your wife is about to deliver a child and then pins all his problems on you, and tell you he isn't going to pay you. That takes Brass Balls my Friends.
Al, your washed up, and your mind is turning to mush. Hey, we all have to die sometime, but after all you've done for the NFL, why go out looking like an Asshat? Remember Al, It takes a bigger man to admit when he's wrong. Maybe Russell needs to just start calling his own plays. |

Moral is low, but not just within the organizationNever say DieI know quite a few fans that have stopped routing for the Raiders, The actual start was when they left Oakland, of course quite a few would fly, even drive to LA to watch The Silver and Black open up a can of woop A$$ on Sunday.
Alot of fans in the Bay Area really felt betrayed when they left for LA, of course some of those fans started routing for the whiners, naturally the whiners where winning so it was all good for them. But When Al Davis started his drama act in LA and the talks of moving back to Oaktown, it had the diehards in the Bay Area foaming at the mouth at the thought of there Family coming back home. There is alot of loyal Raiders fan all over, and I have had the pleasure of meeting quite a few when I go to a home game. But I think some of the nation is growing weary of the drama that plaques our team year after year, it would'nt be so bad if we where winning but were not, that's what makes it tough. We are proud and have a passion for this franchise with a never say die attitude. If you look around the NFL every team is starting to sport the war paint like the nation does in support for there team. The name Al Davis & Raiders at one time ment power and fear, kinda when your Mom told you to fetch her a branch from the tree cause you where getting whopped, and now we have turned into a team with misdirection and that is not what this franchise was about. Let's be honest some of the blame is on Al Davis I would like to see him be rememberd as the man that Built the Raiders mystic instead of the man that tore it down. A Die Hard Raiders fan BoJerry |

"After being a Raider fan since 1966..........time to say goodbye; I am now a Dallas Cowboy fan." Hey Sideshow, sounds to me like you were NOT really a Raiders fan then, more like a bandwagon JUMPER! How do you go from the Raiders to Cowgirls...why cause the girls are winning? The only good thing from are past 5 years is that it's getting RID of all the FAKES! Since 1966 huh...yeah right! |

The Al Davis Press ConferenceThanks, SacraRaider.
I know it sounds crazy, but I have this feeling Al's going to do the right thing and hire a GM to take over some of his responsibilities. His doctor will probably force him to do it. It may be a couple of years off, but no more than a couple of years. His health is an issue, and I think he understands the strain is too much. I don't think he'll step down as the acting general partner - a position that gives him ultimate, overriding authority -- but I can definitely see him handing over a greater portion of the decision making to someone else. |

Moral is low, but not just within the organizationHey - I am a Raider Fan through the good and the BAD its been hard but it will pass by just like Davis.
I liked Kiffin but I never seen a coach send indirect comments at Davis or other assistant coaches through the media like Kiffin. It happend we will get passed this. Hang on and enjoy the roller coaster ride. |

The Al Davis Press ConferenceDamn, you write like Chief Editor for a newspaper! I really like your open-mindedness, approach and response to the way the pc went down. I myself am a raider 4 life and although i want us to win a superbowl soon, i just want us to go 8-8 this year and build upn that. Kiffin, i thought was a decent guy, most of the team backed him and i hope that they still try their hardest and play good ball the rest of the year.........
As for Mr. Davis....well, unfortunately i dont see him hiring a GM eventhough we really need one. He HAS to have his hand in everything that is the Raiders. I tell everyone that i have the utmost respectf for him and what he's done for football in General, from back to the merger to the everything that is today the modern NFL, because without him, the NFL wouldnt be what it is today! But, i think he fell off about 10 years ago and needs to hire some new personnel and younger, hungrier players to rebuild our great team! |

Marcus Allan needs to go to the Hall of Fame wearing Silver and Black, but not have Al around. Time has come to put AL DAVIS TO PASTURE. This is my first post, and my last on this site; I will follow Kiffin to any other job he has. Tired of having the OWNER want to take credit for everything....... |
