As the title says, I fully expect the 2008 Raiders to be in the playoffs and win the SuperBowl. But I expect that every year, I'm a die hard FANactic. I expect the best and live with what we get. Which for the last 5 years has been the worst.
While I was looking at the pics from the current OTA in the premium section, I was glad to see the coaches looking like they were actually coaching and wanted to be in Oakland.
Then it hit me.
What if the season doesn't go as planned and...
The Salary Cap implications of the below be damed, I'm talking strickly blocking, tackling, running, throwing and catching.
DEPARTURES:
Porter: In the mirror, he's an under achiever. In person, he's another waste of talent, who never worked hard enough to become above average. Not giving him more money for nothing was a great idea.

As much uncertainty about the coaching situation that surrounds the start of 2008, one thing remains the same. AL Davis is calling the shots. And has been calling the shots since the 60's. His success and failures are well chronicled in the records of the NFL and endlessly debated on Raiderfans.net
About a month ago, I personally reached the end of my tolerance for what I perceive as his current failures. His failure to hire a head coach. His failure to draft football players. His failure...
I would still go everywhere wearing Raiders sweat suits. So fresh and so clean.
I'd probably still even rock the old lady chain on my sunglasses. It just looks right.
I would have still signed the best safety available in the 2008 free agent class. STUUUUUU!!!
I still sign T.Kelly to his monster deal, cause I love his character and believe in his ability. He will play end, opposite Burgess, with Sands and Warren in the middle. Those two in the middle get one more year to earn...
While I hate the Patriots, I hate Randy Moss more. So I was elated to see them lose the SuperBowl. It was football karma at it's best.
In my mind, Randy does not deserve to be a World Champ. After how he quit on his Raider team, while making millions, I hope he never wins a world title and doesn't make the hall of fame.
If him and his spoiled brat attitude have success, he'll just give every lazy, gifted athlete a reason to dog it in practice, not try when they are losing and quit...
I love the NFL draft. Back in the 80's, I use to wake up at 5am and stay home from school to watch it all on ESPN. Back when they used to draft for 12 Rounds and Prize Fights went 15. I was in junior high. I've always watched some portion of the NFL draft since 1985.
That year, the greatest receiver of all time was drafted, Mr. Jerry Rice. Now here is the "Believe it or Not" portion of this blog: Buster Rhymes was drafted at the top of the Fourth Round, #85 overall by the Vikings....
The last few years I have found myself in February, happy the season is over (because it was nearly 16 weeks of embarassment), looking forward with optimism to the next. But this year, I'm in no mans land. I'm like those favorite socks you've worn the last two years, fading and ready to split.
Now don't misinterpet this as me denoucing my Nation hood. The Raiders shield on my left arm is a testament to that. But the fiasco Al Davis and the Raiders have become, is taking its toll on me. It's...
