Posted 08-11-2008 at 11:07 PM by BK

Johnnie Lee Higgins is all smiles during a pre-game warmup

If you ever had the opportunity to be around Johnnie Lee Higgins, even for a few minutes, you soon realize that there is something special about this kid.

I personally covered 15 games last year and I always like to hit the field 2 hours before game time. One of the first players that come through the tunnel, ready to...

Al Davis - The most passionate owner in professional sports...

As a common fan, sometimes you only see what the media shows you and unfortunately, you miss a lot of what goes on behind the scenes. Say what you will about the Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis, but I know for a fact that the past five-seasons bother him more then any fan! It's been a rough stretch, but I commend him on always trying to do what is best for the team. Regardless of his age, this man is still sharp as a tact!

Mc Cown especially made many mistakes, made poor decisions that ended several drives and eventually cost the Raiders a 'W'. But yesterday I saw a kid out there that has tremendous heart!...

Dying to live?

Posted 08-31-2007 at 09:22 PM by BK
A blog example:

Quote:
"First I was dying to finish high school and start college. And then I was dying to finish college and start working. And then i was dying to marry and have children. And then I was dying for my children to grow old enough so I could return to work. And then I was dying to retire. And now, I am dying ... And suddenly realize I forgot to live." ~ Anonymous
