    Tommy Polley

I am curious to what the nation thinks about Polley. Alot of analyists were high on this guy last year when he signed with the Ravens to a 1 year $800K deal. Seems now that he is a FA again. He had a pretty good year with them last year:

    96 Total Tackles, 4 sacks. and he's only 28.

Do you guys think he would be a good option for us this year? Or should we persue Hawk (if he falls to us) or another FA? If we do persue Hawk, what do you think his contract would look like? Would it be financially better to go with a FA that can still produce?

Here are some other FA OLB's out there, who would you like. Try to think compensation and our cap situation too when you choose.

Will Witherspoon (Probablly would want top dollar. Considered best OLB in FA for 2006)

    Julian Peterson
Cato June (Restricted FA, would require compensation)
LaVar Arrington (Another top dollar candidate)
    Akin Ayodele
    Kieth Newman (another Viking anyone?)
Scott Fujita (probablly come over cheap and another to the Chiefs

Let me know what you guys think.

Polley was available last year and we didn't even take a sniff at him. He signed dirt cheap with the Ravens. Instead we waited until after the draft to sign Jay Foreman.

Coverage guys, not a force LB or a point man. Not really sure, it looks like CLark does what Polley does for the team already.

    Still need depth.

We only have 3 real LBs (Morrison, Clark, Ekejiuba). Williams is really untested because of injury. what happens if Clark has to miss a game or two. People -- we need multiple LBs.

AJ Hawk/Greenway in draft, draft another on early second day. Get another 1 by FA.

No LB can cover the TE's in our division, we need to draft Huff or go FA for a hard hitting/cover SS.
