Injuries are part of the game. No one likes to see them happen. Coaches, players, or fans. However, no one should feel sorry for teams whose players suffer injuries. Next guy needs to step up and do the job. No excuses. It's professional football.
This is way I don't want to see DMac to play Monday.... Hate to lose a play maker in preseason.
23 games? Are you counting playoffs and Super Bowl? I like your thinking!!!! Haven't had a super bowl party since 2003, I'm do for another lol.
Well he'll surely miss the MNF, which helps us.
Most of a time a broken clavicle takes 10-12 weeks to heal fully this guy is getting hit by NFL players I would say he misses the first four games

Really? Honestly if a guy can't make it through one series of a preseason game may as well put him in a protective bubble. It's a violent game and guys get injured. If McFadden can't make it through a few carries in a preseason game it's probably best to know now to get the phone lines open to Benson's agent. Now I'm not saying that the team needs to feed McFadden lots of carries in preseason but you can't walk around eggshells with your football players. If you don't think the focal player of your offense isn't up to the task of making it through a couple of series in the preseason then I would have serious issues with the coaching and management of the team.
As far as Matthews goes this is a tough injury for a RB that takes constant punishment and like McFadden he's a focal point of that offense. Tough break for the Chargers but there won't be any tears from me as that's football and I hope for an 0-16 season for Rivers and company.
