Too bad he was traded to seatle for an undisclosed 2013 pick...we had no chance of dealing with his salary via a trade. Oh well next man up...

Wonder if Zach miller will be cut now. I know he got a big contract last year so not sure if they will pay both starter type money.

Could happen or they could be trying to replicate the NE TE situation and do something to help their passing game. If Miller was cut I'd bring him back in heart beat....Knapp did great things with him.

If we can bring him I say we do it as it immediately improves a glaring need.

He's not going to get a massive pay day with us but I do remember hearing before the draft that Reggie still has a couple of moves he can make with the current roster to free up some cap space i.e. singing Branch long-term and re-working contracts like Lechler and Kelly.

I'm not a massive fan of re-working deals but this guy would immediately improve our offence. When people talk about positions of need we clearly have them with our defence but to say TE is not a massive priority is very naive. Yes we have needs at LB and could do with another RB but after the LB position the biggest need on this entire team is at TE and bringing a 28 who has lead his team in receptions the past 3 years could only be a good thing surely?

I don't care if Palmer hasn't tended to target TE's in the past - if our offensive scheme asks him to do and he doesn't we find someone that can. This isn't the Oakland Palmers - we have a chance to do something this year with the AFC West being wide open and bringing someone like Wilnslow in (for the right price) would massively improve us in a major position of need. To say we don't sign this guy based on the fact Palmer likes to target wide out's is quite frankly ridiculous - bottom line is he will target who Knapp and Allen tell him to and if he can't/won't he'll be plying his trade elsewhere in 2013.

We're not going to trade for him and nor is anyone else so we can forget that but when they release him I hope Reggie gets this done and gives Palmer another toy to play with.

**Edit - just saw the post above saying he's gone to Seattle - what a waste of time writing that out was - oh well, next man up**

I don't know who's on their roster, but I remember them having two good TE's last year. If that still holds true, it figured miller could be the odd man out due to this contract.

This is it right here. It's a copycat league and the patsies have laid down an intriguing blueprint.

Lots of money tied up in the TE position and the Hawks are supposedly high on Cameron Morrah. Very possible Miller gets cut.

No way I would accept Miller's contract. If he was released he could come back at a deal in line with what Boss got.

Kellin Winslow cut from Pats after 1 catch for 12 yards. No thanks.
