49ers could be left with nothing but almost Raider draftee Colin Kaepernick?

Moving parts aplenty in 49ers' QB drama

With Flynn now in Seattle. Alex Smith getting looked at by Miami......and Peyton possibly passing them up to go to Denver or Tennessee....

That will leave them with Kaepernick who Al wanted to draft in the 2nd round last year. But Harbaugh traded up and took him from us.

Wow...talk about a letdown for the 49ers, lol. I wouldnt blame Alex Smith for leaving though...

I wonder if Mike 49er will have as much to post when that happens.

I have some cousins in California that are SF fans. I would HAVE to clown in that situation.

I thought they were already floating the idea of starting Kaepernick over Smith next year. Apparently he's really came along and has their system down quite well, so it was bound to happen sooner or later anyway.

SF runs the ball a lot so they only need someone to make key throws once in a while. If they get Manning can they protect him, Smith bailed them out with his ability to move around a bit. Harbaugh is a good coach so I'm sure whoever is the QB they will utilize plays that are high percentage. They do have a QB conundrum in hand at the moment. Should be interesting to see who they end up with. They did get Moss and Manningham so I guess Peyton likes the weapons. Who will win the sweepstakes?

You dont remember this during draft time? Kaepernick was getting a lot of buzz from the media and other sources saying the Raiders wanted him. I cant find the source..cause Im too lazy to look. But I remember on draft day one of the talking heads saying how the 49ers traded up just so he wouldnt go to us.

I just think Peyton stays in the AFC. His family really cares about the "Manning Brand". The ultimate goal for that is a Manning Super Bowl. Cant happen if both are in the same conference. There were rumors/theory that was a small part in why Eli wanted to be traded from the Dolts (It had more to do with them being a crappy franchise at the time though..)

I would die laughing if this scenario played out - Smith goes to the dolphins, Manning picks the titans, and then Tebow demands a trade since they tried so hard for peyton. Would be freaking hilarious but I know Timmy boy wouldn't probably go that way. Then u have two playoff teams without a starting qb.

The San Francisco 49ers are not doing so well in dealing with this quarterback situation they have. It's obviously Peyton Manning who will undoubtedly turn heads and have teams drooling for him because of his history of success that makes the 49ers want him, but that shouldn't be the case. I mean, if they want extra media coverage and publicity than by all means they should go ahead and try to grab him, but no one has ever seen him play a single season game since his neck injury. No disrespect to the 49er fans, but they think that they are just a quarterback away from a title, but they should know that a lot can change after one season; Teams have more films to study and be better prepared, the loss of a couple key players through trade/free agency, different schedule/factors, and so on.

how about Manning goes to the donkies and Tebow is a niner hahaha..no but realistically I hadn't thought about Hasselbeck for the niners if Peyton goes there, definitely could happen.

With a little better QB the Niners could get to the Super Bowl as much as it pains me to say. If they had Hasselbeck that might be enough. The have improved at WR, resigned their Defense. I still thing Manning will go to Tennessee. He is a god there from him college days. They have offered him a lifetime deal which in the future could work into an ownership deal. Plus he would get to put an ass kicking on Indy 2 times a year.

Actually, it is coming back to me now.

I may have even commented on it, since Kaepernick is one of the few players that I know a little about.

...soon to be either really happy (Manning) or, well, not?

Believe Peyton said he'll let everyone know by Tuesday.
