The mainstream media and the left pushed a narrative that Trump said the neo-Nazis in Charlottesville were "very fine people." He did not say this. Not at all. In fact, he made it a point to say that when he was talking about "very fine people" he was NOT talking about the neo-Nazis or white hate groups and in fact said he condemned them "totally."

This false narrative was pushed by a dishonest press nearly all four years of Trump's presidency. To push this false narrative, a pundit or member of the news media would have to be stupid or completely dishonest.

To put this in football terms, let's say that Jon Gruden said that the NFL has historically had some "very fine quarterbacks." Then he goes on to say that JaMarcus Russell was one of the worst quarterbacks in Raiders' history. Did Gruden say that JaMarcus Russell was a "very fine quarterback?" No way. This is pretty much the same thing, in football vernacular.

Another comment made by Trump was his comments about MS-13 gang members coming over our border illegally. Trump called them "animals." The media said that Trump was racist because he called Mexicans "animals." No he did not. The conversation he was having was about the MS-13 gang, not the average person from Mexican. Trump did say that Mexico and other countries aren't sending America their best in these caravans, which is true. Doctors, scientists and other highly trained people apply to the US through the VISA process. Trump also said there were good people among those coming across the border, too.

While the media focused on words Trump used, often conflating them to make him appear he was racist, they never really focused on Biden's actions while serving in Washington, many of which were clearly racist in hindsight. Biden opposed busing to achieve school integration, which was a way to integrate schools and to give black children a better education. Biden sided with southern racists who were dead set against anything that put white and black children together in school. Biden was also the author of the terrible 1994 Crime Bill that incarcerated black Americans disproportionately.

These two actions by Biden should have disqualified him from ever being considered from office.

In comparison, Trump's economy actually created the lowest black unemployment EVER and his criminal reform push allowed thousands of the black Americans Biden had incarcerated for relatively minor offenses to be released from prison and to be given a second chance.

But the media wanted to paint Trump as a racist, so they ignored his accomplishments, conflated his words and then did their best to actually hide Biden's racist record of "accomplishments." Notice how many times Trump was asked to condemn white supremacists? he condemned them dozens of times. If he didn't condemn them immediately, according to the media, this proved he was racist, and if he didn't condemn them forcefully enough, he was also racist, according to the news media. Even during the debate, Trump was asked to condemn these groups again, yet Biden wasn't asked even a single question about his siding with racists on school integration or his authorship of the 1994 Crime Bill. Fair? No way.

I'm a former journalist. I hate dishonesty. To paint Trump as a racist was one of the most dishonest gaslighting jobs ever perpetuated on the American people. Is he perfect? No way. But the media had a narrative they wanted to push in this past election and they pushed it consistently and corruptly.

I was commenting on a post on Facebook several months back when a person commented about Trump supposedly saying that neo-Nazis were "very fine people." I provided her with links to what he actually said and analysis from honest media that reported that anyone who would say that he said that would have to be dishonest or just plain lazy. She commented back that she had been lied to and that I was right in correcting the lie being perpetuated by the media. She thanked me.

I hate dishonesty and I'm beginning to hate politics. The two seem to go hand in hand. Add in the news media and you've got a trifecta.

What is occurring today isn't journalism.

Trump wasn't the most eloquent politician around. He said things often in NOT the nicest, most politically correct way.

But if you compare what Trump said to Biden's actions and record, there was no comparison.

In my opinion, Biden was the most corrupt, racist and inept Presidential candidate in history. Even Barack Obama's Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, said that Biden had been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy decision in the past 40 years. And he never backed down from his quote during this recent campaign.
