Pacman hit a lot of air.. Watch fight on mute without the bias of the announcers.

I never watch boxing with sound on. I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to the square circle, and half the time I think the announcers are full of Mee Krob.... I still believe that Pacman won, again, not by a landslide, but a win nonetheless.

Can't say I'm surprised at all. While I think they should award Pacquiao the win because it's the right thing to do, I guess we'll have to wait for the rematch.

Furthermore I'd like an explanation as to why it went the way it did originally. Was it corruption or incompetence?

I asked myself that also. I don't think the fix was in. But before the fight when Manny made them wait. I thought there might be some payback from 1 or more of the judges. That combined with the last Juan Manuel Marquez fight that a majority thought he won. Then add in incompetence....

I really don't think there will be a rematch. Arum won't lose $$. He promotes both. Bradley wants at least 10 million. Then add in what Pac man gets. I don't see many people wanting to pay to see them fight again. I rather pay for Juan Manuel Marquez vs Pacquiao 4. Or something like Chavez Jr vs Sergio Martinez. Or Pac Man vs Mayweather Jr....

I also don't like the way fights are scored. I know they don't want judges giving even rounds. But then when its close instead of even they guess. Or give it to the fighter they like better. So if a fighter wins rounds in a convincing fashion without a knockdown its 10-9. Same as the bogus 10-9 when it was an even round. Its a way for a judge to screw a fighter...

This is one reason MMA is getting so popular. The decision was a joke....
I believe it's in the contract, if Bradley wins they have to fight again.

Manny took him to lightly IMO
Supposedly Pacquiao has an issue with cramping and was on the treadmill, which delayed the fight.

Remember the video you posted only complains about 12-15 punches that were miscalled by the announcers. Those aren't the same guys operating Compubox.

Compubox operators for HBO could be wrong, but both ESPN & NBC run one as well so they have 3 sources to compare & confirm punch stats.

The guy making the video you posted also had Pacquiao as the winner. His only complaint was the commentary which is never perfect anyway.

Even Howard Cosell who was famous during the Ali days is/was notorious for miscalling fights, and he's one of the most respected all time announcers.

I don't think the announcers being mistaken on 4% of their calls means the Compubox numbers are wrong, especially when they can be verified by 3 different sources and the punches landed margin had a difference of 15% between the two fighters. (34%-19%)

Pacquiao out punched Bradley in 10 of 12 rounds.

So the short of it is don't confuse the announcers with the Compubox operators. Apples & oranges bro.

No, I read a report in the morning that PacMan said he was going to stay in his locker room and watch the Celtic game cause he's a big Celtic fan. So that's when I put my money on Bradley cause to me PAC Mans mind and heart were somewhere else

punch stats are irrelevant, judges judge u on control of the ring, clean punches, and defense

the misconception that the guy that lands the most punches win needs to end

bradley made pacman look the worst he has looked in 10 years

i watched the fight 4 times, bradley didnt not get hit 260 times by a power puncher, but some how not have a single mark on his face

pacman didnt not land any combinations all night, while bradley did

pacman regularly ate jabs, while the announcers acted like they didnt see it

just watch the fight again man

    pacman lost, i'm sorry.

nobody wins a fight by having poor defense and not landing any clean shots all night long

pacman was hitting air, shoulders, and gloves all night long.

seriously? never mind the fact that bradley ran most of the fight and every time he sat down to mix it up pacman rocked him. The only credit i'll give bradley is he's got a strong jaw as pacman nearly ended the fight in the 4th and 5th a lesser man would have been asleep. The 100 power punches they gave him credit for are a joke at no point did he even phase the pacman.

    bradley's face was blemish free

he wasnt getting hit at all

pacman was eating jabs the entire night, thats why his mouth was bleeding

bradley was connecting that jab at will

    seriously watch the fight

the WBO is making this "announcement" to stay in good grace with their cash cow

the athletic commission appoints the judges, not the WBO, the WBO's opinion is no more important than ESPN and all the other pacman nuthuggers.

You should have waited till the end. I saw a follow up interview and apparently if you were in Vegas you could place situational bets up till the end of the fight and before the decision the odds shot up dramatically it was a +325 or so Bradley at the prefight but +9?? at the end. Someone got a massive payday.

I'm glad you read something, I watched the fight live and that's the reason they gave. He was on the treadmill.

They also claimed it was a decision to not compete with the NBA for viewers, so they chose to delay the fight.

He wasn't getting hit?? Every time Manny threw that right left combo he blasted Bradley. It was there all night, it was like a boxing clinic.

Dude his mouth was bleeding from a headbutt, go watch the middle rounds again. Bradley's best tactic was charging in with his head down, or throwing useless hooks while they were clinched. He landed more headbutts than jabs.
At this point I'm convinced you've not actually watched the fight other than a few clips on youtube... I've got it downloaded i've already seen it enough.

Bradley I'll give credit for having a tough jaw because I thought he was lights out a couple of times there. Fact is you and a couple of 70 year old judges are the only people who credit Bradley with a win. Even in the late rounds 9,10,11 when Pac was obviously taking off (because he was convinced he won already) Bradley did nothing to win them but at best you can only give Bradley those 3 rounds.
