    Tapping new sources!

I can't imagine any of the starting CFL being much worse then our offense... CFL's athletes dont get the respect they deserve from there NFL counterpart! its outrageous when you have some of the embarrassments in the NFL ($ not equating to production) who have no love for the game.

soooo why not look to grab some proven high potential players from other leagues who would give there left nut for the opportunity to play in the NFL... sure beats spending ridicules amounts of money on unproven overrated one hit wonders from collage.

    WR:
    ---
    Prechae Rodriguez(24):

Hes 6'5!!!! and he has a terrible terrible QB throwing to him right now... he is a jump ball kinda WR who can make incredible catches over CB's and S's. Russel might just be the perfect fit... him and Chaz would be a great combo! Alltho I like our current WR's they havent proven **** EVER... at least this dude has something to his name.

he was cut by the eagles to make room for Vick... he will be coming off of any injury this month and I am guaranteeing hes better then S. Route when he gets back to football forum!

If people want I can write a little something on each player explaining why I feel these particular players can have success at the NFL level. I would take all of the above players over our current ones if given the opportunity! THINK of all the $$$$$$$ we would save!!!! ahahha wtf are our RB's WR's QB's getting paid for.... 3 and outs.... an absolute joke!!!!!
    --------

So the point of this thread is to compile a list of players from other leagues who you would want playing for the Raiders!

Well as an avid CFL Fan. I live in the Bluebomber area. I suppose i can give some incite.

First Rodriguez, Looks good up here but doesn't have the speed required for the NFL or the route running ability. Uses his size mainly to go after the ball and I've seen him get hemmed up good against some of the corners here in Winnipeg.

Dorsey, has good speed but would be nothing more than a return man in the NFL he was cut by the Redskins at the end of training camp. He's just to small to be a quality back, but he's a shifty runner but would get knocked ove by arm tackles.

Mallett, is probably one of the better backs but isn't the best pure running back even in the CFL tho he does lead the league in rushing at the moment. He runs hard but with the Size difference in the NFL i think he would get owned at the line of scrimmage plus he doesn't run terribly fast i can think of atlest 3 backs that are better in the CFL.

Parker, Is a corner in the CFL not a safety. He doesn't have the speed to make plays in the NFL and has looked average at best in plenty of games here in the CFL i can remember Stegall owning him multiple times. As well as other WR up here. He is a bit of a ballhawk at times but againt much faster and larger WR he would have no chance.

Just for reference the all time best WR in CFL history couldn't make it in the NFL Milt Steggall look up his records.

There are a few CFL player who could make it but they are few and far between. Cameron Wake is one who looks good in the NFL for the dolphins, up here he Played D-Line down there he is a LB that should give you an idea of the size difference between the 2 leagues.

Garcia and Flutie both had success as well but The Best QB in the CFL right now Calvillo for the Alouettes can't even get a sniff in the NFL and he passes for 4000+yds every single year like clockwork. It's a different league up here and tho i love it the Talent is not even close. Hell i can't even think of a WR from the CFL who has managed to stick as an NFL WR.

Just some insight from a fan of the CFL for the last 25 years.

    Thanks for you input.

Your argument against all these players are irrelevant because your speculating that their speed in every case is the main reason they are incapable of playing in the NFL.

We all know how much speed means, that is of course why we draft base on 40 times... but its kinda overrated... especially when you look at our team.

Stegall and Calvillo are old as f*ck thats why there not thinking of taking a stab at the NFL plus they love the CFL so why leave what you love. If Calvillo were 20 he would get looks in the NFL.

Parker is fast! He was running 4.3's 4.4's

Martell Mallett is a powerful runner who is actually fast he runs a 4.4 and in his rookie year he has proven to be consistent and reliable. With lots of room to grow this kid could play in the NFL.

Dorsey could be what Logan (steelers 5'7) and Sproles (5'7 chargers) are to there respective teams... KR'er and change of pace RB

I would take Rodriguez over Watkins, N. Miller, Hubbard, Walker
I would take Dorsey over Fargas, Rankin
I would take Parker over Route, Bowie and to add to our lack of depth at S.

I would hate to see the Raiders go up against a CFL team today. The Raiders could be badly embarrassed.

how is this not in the right forum?

I am saying the Raiders should look into getting proven players instead of paying all these non football player busts.

Also you say for Rodriguez that he has a terrible QB throwing to him, then i ask what would be the difference here.

But, truly, it has not one thing to do with the Raiders. Don't freakin' clutter up the board. Simple.
