2008 MLB Playoffs

We need a thread for the playoffs this year. Finally we have some new teams in the post-season that have not been making it year after year.

MIN/CWS vs. TB
Bos Vs. ANA

LA vs. Chi
Mil vs. Philly

Lets go Dodgers!!! I'm going out on a limb and say it's going to be a freeway World Series.

Dodgers vs. Angels

I'm telling you Sonic if the Angels lose again to Boston, i'm heading over to their stadium and start a riot. I live 5 minutes away and this is the year they take care of business.

There is no goat, black cat or even further Bartman anymore. This is a way better team than in 2003 which will make for a good series. GO CUBBIES!!!!!!!!!

I thought that team was going to the World Series but sh*t went downhill for them. This will be a good series and the Dodgers pitching staff worries me. I hope the bats can be the difference makers.

So did I back in '03 till Dusty got soft and his true colors showed that he sucks when it comes down to managerial decisions. Anyways, on paper I see the Dodgers as major hurl. You guys have gotten hot as of lately, believe me we are not playing a wild card team here. See ya Wednesday

Good thread. Congrats to all the playoff teams and their fans. Enjoy October baseball, its a blast!

Oh, and don't get too used to OCT baseball without the NYY. We will be back sooner than later.

For these playoffs, I will be pulling heavily for the Cubbies. I've loved them for the longest time, always had a soft spot for them. I would always take a glance at their division to see where they stood throughout my years of following baseball, and I'd get genuinely pissed when they were struggling.

Cubs fans: Is Carlos Zambrano healthy enough to have a positive impact on the starting rotation in the playoffs? The 1-2 punch of Harden-Dempster is good enough, but they would be lethal with a 1-2-3 of Harden-Dempster-Zambrano. The offense is plenty good and the back end of the bullpen is one the baseball's best IMO.

Oh, and my condolences to RINY who had to endure a second consecutive collapse by his Mets at the hand of the Florida Marlins on the season finale at home.

I'm disappointed in you Jiggy. You're going against my Dodgers

I can see why though, the thing that I love is that my team got HOT at the end and I hope they take that into the post-season.
