He died while on a solo camping trip out in the desert. Strange story. Very sad.

Evan Tanner was a "Bird of a Different Feather", he battled alcohal and depression. He wrote a lot of blogs on his MySpace page. He sounded like a great guy who was tortured inside. From the sounds of the story he put himself in a dangerous situation and paid for it with his life.

I drove through that part of the country a few days before he passed. It is unforgiving country out in those parts. If you are not prepared, that 115 degree desert heat will get you one way or another. God Bless Evan Tanner, may he Rest In Peace.
