that is a bad move for Lesnar. He does not have the experience to fight Couture.

This is fukhead Dana Whites attempt to lower Coutures value in a matchup with Fedor.

Couture is in a no win situation. He has to win early and decisively or his rep will lower.

Lesnar is a wildcard, by any other sports standards not even worthy of this matchup. inexperienced but also dangerous. Dana has 2 fights to ruin the hyped up match between Couture and Fedor. This is a good attempt.
If Couture wins.... we he was suppossed to, Lesnar has only fought twice before . If Lesnar gets a fotrunate strike and wins then Afflictions fight is less valuable with Fedor vs a Guy who lost to another guy with 3 total fights.

I would still try to watch but the ticket wont draw as much as it wouldv before.

I hope Couture dominates in the 2 fights he has left to fight for UFC.

Lesner has a chance because of his size and strength, plus Couture has been out of action for a year plus he is a year older.

But my money is on Couture!

I don't know that it hurts Couture all that much. It sucks that he hasn't gotten the chance to fight Fedor but other than that i think this is a great fight for him. This is more than likely going to be one of the most watched UFC events of all time. Couture gets to come back from a considerable amount of time off to fight the biggest name in UFC heavyweight division, albeit a guy who doesnt necessarily deserve it. I honestly think it would be a big win for couture.

As for the actual fight i think Couture wins. Lesnar showed a remarkable inability to finish Herring even though he dominated him the whole fight. You can't let Couture hang around a fight that long and expect to win. So even if Couture gets in a bad spot early i think he will be fine.

Oh boy, I'm really torn on this one. I love watching Randy fight and I think the man is true warrior of the sport. I would love nothing more than to see him take Lesnar to school. But I'm getting a funny feeling about this match, I just don't know if Couture has enough left in that 45 year old tank to handle the constant intensity from Lesnar. I just think Couture is giving up too much power, too much weight and too many years to Brock.

His best chance is obviously to get a QUICK submission because he knows he can't go toe to toe with Lesnar. The question is, can he get close enough and endure the onslaught to get that submission? I'm just not sure that's going to be possible at his age combined with Lesnar's power, speed, youth and intensity. Let's not forget Couture has a history of having problems with young powerful strikers and his chin didn't hold up against Liddell (twice), Josh Barnett and Ricco Rodriguez. Brock Lesnar has 10 times more power in his fists than any of those guys mentioned. It's definitely not going to be easy for Randy if he ends up on his back with that animal on top of him. I can't wait to see this fight.

Couture against BIG guys is .500. Losses to Barnett and Rico, and wins against Timmy and Gabe Gonzaga.

You both are right! Couture is going to obliterate him. I can't believe how expensive it is to go see in person. It is just insane the amount of money they want....of course I'd rather go see a raiders game any day!
