Agreed. There's 40,000 people in Voldasta, and about 10,000 showed up for the ESPN on-site visit. This means a whole lot more to them than L.A., and it's good to see that ESPN is recognizing the little guy for once. If the people of L.A. really cared, they'd have voted like the people in Voldasta, who received 29% of the viewer votes.
You could say the same thing about the super bowl, or the world series. I bet another world series would mean more to KC than NY.
In my book, high school and small colleges don't count. The reason they have so many is because most other teams in the other po-dunk towns suck.
New York has 52 professional titles. No amount of small college and high scool championships can match that.
But people voted online, and people love a feel good story, who am I to argue, I didn't even vote.
