Who are your Top 10 Fighters in MMA?

Vote for who you think is the number one fighter in the world.

    My top 10:

    1. Anderson Silva - best pound-for-pound fighter in the world right now, IMO.

    2. Fedor - Legitimate threat to Silva's title as the best pfp, but he hasn't fought enough big names IMO.

    3. Georges St. Pierre - Beat down Matt Serra; GSP is a beast

    4. Urijah Faber - Wasn't too sure about this guy til I saw him handle Jens Pulver

    5. BJ Penn - Has beaten a lot of big names, including the steroid-freak Sean Sherk

    6. Antonio Noguiera - Spanked Tim Sylvia, and has put up a fight or two against Fedor

    7. Forrest Griffin - Surprising win (I'm still not sure he actually won, either) over Rampage. The guy seems to feel no pain.

    8. Rampage Jackson - Hopefully he hasn't gone completely nuts, gets his stuff sorted out, and has a rematch with Forrest. Which I think he'd win.

    9. Shinya Aoki - an up-and-comer. You've never seen a flying arm bar like his.

    10. Lyoto Machida - Not an amazingly exciting fighter, but supremely talented and textbook. He will make his way to the top for sure.

    1.Anderson Silva
    2.Fedor
    3.BJ Penn
    4.Georges St. Pierre
    5.Uriah Faber
    6.Antonio Noguiera
    7.Forrest Griffin
    8.Paulo Filho
    9.Lyoto Machida
    10.Rampage Jackson

Most of the same names you have. I agree with you about Machida.

Damn Rampage... He's my favorite fighter and I had to drop him to 10. Hope his ass doesn't end up in prison. I don't think Forrest beat him.

Yea I agree, I'm a big Rampage fan too. If they fought again, I definitely think Rampage would take it.

Fedor - No losses, big wins over Big Nog twice, Herring, CroCop, Mark Hunt, Tim Sylvia, Babalu, Ricardo Arona and Fujita.

Anderson Silva - Impressive wins in the UFC, but has been submited twice.

BJ Penn - Could be number one if he was 100% focused early in his career.

Georges St. Pierre - Getting KO'd by Matt Serra the way he did drops him a couple.

Lyoto Machida - Bonner, Penn, Ortiz, Franklin, Soku and a big fight coming up against Thiago Silva.

Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira - Big Man with insane BJJ, only looked bad against Fedor in his career.

Mauricio Shogun Rua - Loss to Griffin and Babalu put him 7th, but big wins against Rampage, Arona and Little Nogueira in one tournement was one of the baddest streaks ever!

Takanori Gomi - The Fireball kid.

Urijah Faber - 1 loss, don't see him getting beat anytime soon.

Fabricio Werdum - Should be fighting Big Nog for the UFC title, not Mir.

I can feel that you think Fedor is the number one fighter because IMO it is really close between him and Silva. But I don't know if you've seen Silva's fight against the little asian dude, where he kicks the SH!T out of the guy the entire fight and the guy knows he is gonna lose, so he throws the craziest-desperation-out-of-my-ass scissor heel hook and wins. That could happen to anyone, I wouldn't put that into a reason why he is number 2.

The guy got caught, that is in no way a knock on his skills, IMO. That could happen to anybody, I don't think it makes Anderson Silva any worse besides in the loss column. Although the other submission he probably could have beat, when he got triangled by Daju or whatever.

Georges St. Pierre shows why he is my number 3 by beating the hell out of Jon Fitch.

He did beat the hell out of Fitch. I have to give some credit to Fitch for hanging in there for so long though.

I flip back and forth between Silva and Fedor. Silva moving up in weight and dropping the guy quickly was impressive, but Fedor's power is unreal.

The California Kid Faber is a little hurricane and all his fights are super exciting. I also like the young Mexican kid that was on Faber's undercard, his name has slipped my mind at the moment, but he is from Illinois and his record is like 35-0 or 35-1. He looks a little like the skinny guy from Nacho Libre.

Sorry bro, but Ryo Chonan was taking it to Silva. That was not desperate at all, Silva was losing that fight anyways. I remember that fight, and even Bas Rutten said that Silva was losing. I don't know how people can pick Anderson Silva over Fedor as far as #1 PFP fighter. Fedor has fought a lot tougher fighters, and wins so easily. Want proof? He beat down CroCop when CroCop was considered the best striker in MMA. He beat currect UFC interim champ Minotauro Noguiera rather easily. He also demolished Heath Herring, and took out Tim Sylvia in 36 seconds, the same Tim Sylvia that dominated the UFC heavyweight division for many years. The only good fighters Silva has beaten have been Henderson, Franklin, and Marquadt. I like Spider, but he is not better than Fedor.

Are you serious on this? He hasn't fought enough big names? Wow. I guess Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Noguiera, Mirko CroCrop (who at the time was the #2 ranked heavyweight), Heath Herring, and Tim Sylvia are not big names huh? Who has Spider fought, aside from Henderson and Franklin, that you would consider "big names"?

I like GSP, but he's got a HUGE challenge in front of him with BJ Penn. They had a great fight last time, but I think this time BJ is more focused and determined. Should be a war.
