    Anyone Watching the Belmont Today?

Could be history in the making. Of the 4 Triple Crown chances in the last 8 years, I think Big Brown is the horse that's had the best opportunity in years--maybe 30--to finally bring it home.

The Triple Crown and the Breeders Cup is a big deal in my family and we always get together for them. Any other horse racing die-hards out there?

Horse Racing is cool to watch, I went to the horse track in Texas last year & I'm probably gonna head back there again this year. But this time I'll be old enough to bet on the races as well

Nonetheless, as for today's Belmont Stakes, GO BIG BROWN! WIN THE TRIPLE CROWN!

My grandfather was a horse trainer--quarter horse mostly--but I spent a lot of time at the track when I was a kid. It's definitely fun. Good luck with the betting!

Yep, ****ty post position, but he had a bad one in the Preakness as well. The Belmont is such a different animal because it's so long--it really changes the complexion of the race. If he can avoid getting boxed in, I think he's got a good shot of winning.

Watching right now. Maybe we'll see history made. Since we couldn't count on the Patriots to do it. ::

Whoever took a chance on a 38-1 shot is pretty happy right now!

You betcha. My mom actually picked the winner, but she didn't bet on the race. She's kicking herself now. LOL.

During the race when Big Brown didn't seem to make any effort to try and take the lead and ultimately, dropped to last place, I came to the conclusion that somethign had to have happened to him.

The jockey had so much riding on him to win it, including his son and what he is going through.

To be frank, I was disappointed with the outcome.
