Nellie wants Webber back on the Warriors!

Their little fued 12 years ago ended what would have been an exciting Warriors team for years to come with Sprewell, Hardaway (injured Webbers only year) and others if they were just able to get along! I have been pissed at Webber ever since. But after last years playoff lost to Utah, it was obvious we need another body inside! I think Webber can feel that role to some extent.

UPADTE: C-Webb signs with Warriors

Quote:
Chris Webber has come full circle.

The former Kings All-Star signed today with the Golden State Warriors, with whom he began his NBA career in 1993, The Bee has learned from two sources familiar with the negotiations. Webber will earn a pro-rated portion of the league veterans' minimum, which is $1.2 million for a full season, according to the sources.

Webber's re-signing with the Warriors reunites him with coach Don Nelson, with whom the player feuded in each's first go-round with Golden State. After winning Rookie of the Year honors for a 50-win, playoff Warriors team, Webber forced a trade to Washington, and the Warriors spiraled. Nelson was fired midway through the 1994-95 season, and the team didn't return the playoffs until last year - a 12-year absence.

Good stuff, solid backup post-up player, and rebounder at this stage.

Not a good move IMHO he doesn't fit their run and gun style he'll just slow the flow of the team down although he might give them more success in the half court "O" BUT is he going to be able to hit the mid range jumper on a consistant basis to do that???

I don't know about this. I hope he is one, in shape and ready to run. Two, doesn't expect to be a scorer. If he is content with doing the dirty work, like a Marcus Camby type or even a Paul Milsap dude then ok. We shall see....
