The officiating has been particularly terrible over the past two seasons. The refs are getting older and it's time for new blood. The other thing is, they NFL has really been trying to protect its players, especially QB's and WR's lately. Thus, much emphasis has been placed on all these rules about how you can hit people. No leaving your feet, no hitting with your helmet (I still remember my high school coach yelling, 'put a helmet on that guy!'), you have to count your steps before contact... just in case, etc., etc., etc. It's as if they league needs to hire lawyers now because you have to memorize a book the size of world almanac and be a ****ing genius to know what call to make. I'm not saying that the refs haven't ****ed up, because BELIEVE ME I know they have as does most everyone on this site, but how much nit picking can you do until you need a computer or a robot to ref the games?

(Sorry about the rant, but this is getting out of hand. The refs shouldn't be deciding so many games.)
