Black Sunday: That year the Raiders where on fire when they played Washington and lost mid season 37-35. We should have beaten Washington that game but came up short. Then both teams walked through the playoffs we whipped pitt 38-10 and then the Hawks 39-14. Everyone seemed to be saying Washington would win. Thiesmann promised to bomb us from the air.

The Raiders seemed to control the game from the unset building a 21-9 hafe time lead. The Game was far from over because Thiesmann and Washington could score quickly. But Plunckett lead the Raiders down field and a score 28-9. Then after the Redskins turned it over on downs the play that stands out is Marcus Allens 74yd TD run it was simply awesome. The Dagger in the Skins back. Plunkett, Christenson, Branch, Dalby, Lawrance, Hendricks, Guy, Marcus, Hanes, and Hayes. What AL said was the Greatest team of all time.

You know it is almost like watching history over. Look at the players on this team and maybe next year. Gannon, Rice, Brown, Kennedy, Woodson and Woodson, Romo, Garner, Parnella, Adams, Robbins, and the youngsters, Porter, Jolly, Harris, Buchannon, Walker, Grant.. And we wll do next year what that great team failed to do is repeat.
