Your opinion and proven facts are two very different things.
Someone lamented there were 41 sacks. Surely a fact.

I listed the facts that McCown was sacked every 13.6 times he threw, and Pepp every 8.9 times. Both are facts.

The analysis proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that a QB did have an attempt to sack ratio that projected to 33 sacks per year for the 2007 total of 451 Raider pass attempts, or 33.5 if you don't count AW and Curry.

Therefore, our pass protection didn't suck. It wasn't great, but it was good considering:
New system
New line coach, OC, Head coach.
QB with a lifetime 70 QB rating and QB with gimpy legs not suited for rolling out
Lack of good receiver play (Tim Dwight becomes a top receiver overnight, a rook TE breaks Brown's rook record, but Porter and company can't get open, etc.)

It looks to me like the line will be better this year. I'd be surprised if we go anywhere near the 41 sacks, even if JRuss is holding the ball too long and taking sacks he doesn't have to.
