On the contrary,

Walter was 4th because he had to be.

McCown and Culpepper were the guys the paid to QB thru the 07' season.

Due to his late release by Miami, Culpepper had a lot of ground to cover.

McCown took the majority of snaps but got dinged, that made Culpepper's need for more reps priority and of course since the rookie #1 overall DP missed camp, he's gonna need to get up to speed too.

That left Walter the odd man out, but not neccessarily so this year.

He's just cuaght some tough breaks in his early career in Oakland.

He's had sometime to season and has definitely learned how tenuous the position of QB can be in the bigs.

I hope he stays considering the lack of replacement prospects.

I also hope he never sees the field for us in the next 5 years.
