we used a box for the head, another for the body and a box for each foot. The legs are made of water bottles and the arms are made of toilet paper rolls filled with newspaper. It stands so well because we filled the feet with sand and the water bottles are filled with sand. After wrapping everything heavily with duct tape, we shoved the water bottles into the sand, taped them to the box, and cut the box flaps so the water bottles could stick through. The body and head are completely hollow.
