Man, I hope that I didn't do that (seriously). If I did, I apologize.

I'm not trying to defend that position. My point is that IMHO people should be bold and optimistic. These are critical, time-proven traits of leaders. Not everybody is bold and optimistic, and not everybody who is bold and optimistic is a leader... but you have to start somewhere.

People should be encouraged to shoot for it all. And picked up when they miss. We don't have enough people doing crazy things that improve our universe. There's too much safe in this world.

I dislike pessimism intensely. Especially when it comes out in me (which it does far too often for my comfort level). That isn't to say I feel people have no right to be pessimistic (double negative), just that I am not a fan of the approach and try with all my being to rid it from myself.

Like Bluto said [paraphrased], did we give up with the Germans invaded Perl Harbor??





Rant over. Again, sorry if I cried when a differing opinion was raised. Not my intention.
