    We should pick 7th

Jacksonville will also finish with 5 wins, which means that strength of schedule will be the tie breaker. Jacksonville plays in a division with Indy and Tennessee, with 12 and 13 wins, respectively, and the third place team, Houston, finished 8-8. Since we played in such a weak division, and teams play teams in their own division twice, it is unlikely that Jacksonville would have a weaker strength of schedule than ours.

Mark my words, Maualuga is the next Ray Lewis.
Russell does need more WRs.. while our WRs have been coming up, we don't have a solid #1 Russell can count on.. our line might be better, but it isn't drastically better with henderson.. and still needs significant improvement.

Maualuga isn't the next Ray Lewis.. because Ray Lewis can actually cover in passing situation.. While Maualuga is great in the box, outside of it he isn't even close to being Ray Lewis. Plus, with our DT, it won't make a difference. Our defensive line needs to be fixed before we even know what exactly we have in our LBs. Hell, even Ray Lewis publicly called out the Ravens to draft him some big solid DTs the year they drafted Ngata.. which we should have drafted.. While Maualuga is a sexy pick.. we don't need a sexy pick.. we need fix our team.. and it starts from the trenches..

I beg to differ, Mualuga can cover, he's not just a run stuffer, the guy gets picks too. There isn't a dominant DT coming out, and don't say Cody from Alabama because he couldn't even go the whole season without missing games due to injury and he just came from a JC last year...still unproven imho.

The draft is deep with tackles so it can be addressed later. That is why we need Rey. The Raiders DT's aren't bad, it that our LB's take horrible angles, can't fill gaps and Morrison flat out can't tackle.

IMO I think Andre Smith out of Alabama, and Eugene Monroe...the rest aren't top 15 IMO.

It scares me because we might do something stupid now and draft Taylor Mays, since he is expected to go in that range of picks..

What DT is worth drafting at the 7th pick?

There isn't a DT coming out (As of yet...have to wait on all the juniours) that is worth a top 20 pick

Maybe BJ Raji, but it would be a super reach, I see him going in the 17-22 range.

The dreaded 7th pick. Last time we had the 7 we took Michelle Huff. I would love to trade down maybe the Jets or 9ers will want to trade up for a QB. If Bradford or Stafford falls past KC and Detroit. I don't see a player at 7 that improves this team that much, maybe Crabtree but he's not making it to us. I think this is a deep draft in a lot of positions but no real studs. Some very good players. This draft is very unpredictable with no clear cut top 5.

No draft in NFL history has had a clear cut top five in December. Wait till late march and early April and I think there will be a fairly clear cut top 5.

None of these guys will be there in the second round. They'll probably all go in the top 20.
