It's always Al Davis this or Al Davis that. The product on the field suxs and thats the problem. The players are not accountable and i'm sure love to point fingers instead of looking in the mirror.

bingo. Since he's the one who makes sure the same shoddy product takes the field week after week, it's almost as if he's the one dropping balls and missing tackles himself.

I intend to go to the same amount of games next year as I usually do. 2 or 3. This season I have seen two embarrassing losses and its been that way for a while. But to support another team is not an option, and to "limit" my support is not an option either. It's not something you can just turn on and off. For me to see a home game is a 14,000 mile round trip and quite a considerable cost.

I will always be a Raider fan. But the only Raider related item I will continue to get/buy is DTV Sunday ticket.......

Mr Davis is Clueless. He lost me a long time ago. He has forever tarnished his image. The only time I will support him is when he steps down and is owner nothing more.....

I hear you... but the statement in bold is an opinion...

    I dont agree with that...

and I am sure many others wouldn't.

but just so you know.. I understand what you are saying...

and I am not in anyway attacking your opinion.

Just stating that not everybody feels that way.

Al is the man... and like many other proud men that age and take a beatin for it...

I refuse to turn my back on him now.
    Go Raiders.

Al's not leaving, nor should he. Hire a real front office guy. Decide on a coach. Let him do what he wants on the field, not forcing certain defensive coverages on him, etc. Do that and I'll stand up and applaud.

Rooting for another team will never be an option for me, but Al has lost me in that I believe, no actually I know, that the team will be in this quagmire as long as he wants to run every aspect of the organization, including the defense.

Having said that, great win yesterday!

i think al has and is losing support from fans. i like to make at least one game a year out on oakland but i haven't gone this season or last. i probably won't go till we at least start showing some real promise and start getting the ship righted.
also i normally buy lots of raiders gear during the season, this year i haven't bought a single thing.
i will never root for another team!

That was going on earlier this year. The truth always comes out in time.

Davis lost the "Nation" a long time ago... those that continue to support him aren't exactly the cream of the crop in my opinion.
"You can't Appoint, Hire, or Declare Leadership" ~ Sonny Barger

"Al Davis thought all owners were dilettantes with a new toy. He said to me many times through the years that owners are often the problem with their franchises, that too many of them think they can run things when they cannot, and the teams that succeed are the ones where the owner hires the best people he can and turns the game over to them."

Did not realize there was a hierarchy when it came to the Nation. So exactly what does this hierarchy consist of? Just want to know so I will know my place in it, since I was unaware that some were the cream of the crop and well, others were not.

Take a peek at those that still support the guy, I wouldn't exactly classify those people as fans intune with what's been happening!

Accountability has to come from the top. HHHHHHMMMMMM lets look at finger pointing. Al pointed at Callahan, Norv, Art, and Lane, so the finger pointing does gfo both ways. If I said " I am the Raiders" like Al has and then turns around and points fingers or the finger at his coaches just proves everyone points fingers. Just as the article states about people being duped into thinking things will be different with a new coach is AL DAVIS'S way of placing blame and accepting none. So the sayinfg "you get what you give" comes into play here; concequently, I am going to use your last sentece but replace the word players for owner. The owner isnot accountable and i'm sure loves to point fingers instead of looking in the mirror.
