Then they will just pick on the 2 corners, lol.
"The Raiders have begun putting in Asomugha at safety in certain formations, as they used to do with Charles Woodson, hoping to get him some opportunities at interceptions. Asomugha had his breakout year with eight interceptions in 2006 and saw only 35 passes his way all last season, picking off one"

Then they will just pick on the 2 corners, lol.
Anything that can help the secondary since Hall and Huff both stink.
Hopefully the formation calls for us to use Branch in Aso spot at corner.

Whatever we're doing now is not working so what is the worst that could happen?
Huff's career is on the line. Seriously, he didn't even seem to care about getting demoted and he said open field tackling was harder than I thought. WTF????![]()
giving asomugha more oportunities is just fine but, what happens then ,when teams see that and attack our corners that are weak imo. marshmellow hall hasnt shown he can do to much and stanford rhoutt is still learning.the raiders have always played man to man defense ,so why on gods green earth did they trade for hall, when he cant seem to play man on man , and also hasnt even played in a system like that before.
Dumb, dumb, dumb move if they were to somewhat/somehow put aso at safety.
Borderline stupid.
not sure i like it. aso is too freakin good. but i hope it works when they do it.
i thought against the saints where huff blew the play in the end zone, play action. that hall should have been down in front covering the obvious reciever which was the TE just like aso did on the other side. huff should have been covering the backs.

Move him to safety and then franchise him as one in the off season. That'd make him real happy.

while im siding with ya it kinda makes sense. if the coaches feel routt is ready and our safteys are horrible then it would be smarter to put the better players on the field.
but overall i dont like it and it does sound idiotic at first glance. cuz when they did it with woodson it was because he couldnt cover anymore. thats not the case with aso.
