Aso was a 7th round pick and a project at the time, huff was round 1 and "Best safety on the board instant impact pick", big difference.[/QUOTE]

Aso was picked with either the last pick of the first rd or the next to last when we had them both the other was Brayton. Still was a project becaus he was going to be moved from S but not a 7th rd pick.
RIP Al Davis you will forever be in our memories. I know I was very critical of you but I always have and always will appreciate all you accomplished as a RAIDER!! I will root no more or no less for the Raiders and be no more or no less a Raiders fan now that you are gone.

Huff was overrated in college and overrated by almost eveyone on this board. I was one of the few who has been bashing him since he got onto the field and the excuses were always he's a playmaker. Or he "blankets" the Te's which was BS. Everyone had an excuse for Michelle. Well now here's another one. Let's move him to CB. The only move that should be made is Michelle off the field. Thats it. Over three years and he can't tackle, can't make plays and he can't cover. This defense is tirde of playing with 10 men. I have a new nickname for Michelle the scarecrow. Except that no team is scared of him but thats about the extent of his use as the 11th defender.

Yep. This guy right here psly2124 has called Michael Huff a bum since day one. And he was right on. Covering TEs ain't worth being picked #7 overall. Sorry. Huff's negatives out weight his positives.

You watch other teams trot out 6th round DB's who make plays and we are stuck with Hall and Huff?

    Dumb and Dumber.

Huff needs to be benched and Hall should take some time on the IR to get his hand healthy. Like the rest of the season.

Sometimes it seems like Huff would be better at CB but he definitely has not panned out so far as a FS/SS.

Al really can't be blamed for picking Huff. He was a great player in college and was supposed to be the safest pick in the draft. He just hasn't panned out, it happens all the time.

He could have chosen a different player, it is Al's fault and while he may have been a great NCAA player doesn't mean it was going to translate to success in the NFL... once again failure to do due diligence has cost this team... yes it happens all the time, just with more frequency in Raiderland.

People are way too hard on Huff IMO. Huff shouldn't have to make most of the tackles that people accuse him of missing. He's also one of the few people that wanted the Raiders to draft him even though we haven't been good.

Give him more time. A first round pick is a first round pick. We gave Aso time... It doesn't matter if he was the 31st pick or the 7th pick. Some people take more time to develop then others. Our defense scheme is ass right now, we don't really use any of our players right.

The guy is a top 10 pick how much more time does he need? He's a safety for heavens sake he's not a damned LT or QB...

    Amen.
Enough is enough with this guy.
For all the cr@p Bob Gallery has taken over the years, he at least has become a solid, productive NFL player whose presence on the field isn't a detriment to the team.
The same can't be said for Huff, who comtinues to make the same mistakes he made as a rookie and continues to be anything but the playmaker he was billed as. The only plays he makes are ones that end up with the other team celebrating in the end zone.

If you recall the comments made about Stu and Huff was given a free pass because he was playing out of "position"... well Huff is at his natural position and he's worse than Stu was... now that's sad!

Enough with this guy. Can't tackle, average in coverage #7 overall pick. The knock on him coming out of college was he was decent at coverage but tried to make big plays and got burnt many times. Also that he tackled too high and did not get his body in front of the man with the ball. Does this sound familiar? Who scouts for this team or do they just take the next guy on the list of Combine 40 times. Didn't Al blame Art Shell for this one cus he wanted Leinart or some other nonsense

No one wants the guy to fail, but Judas Priest he's a worthless pick and it shows, time to replace these yahoos with football players... enough already!
